Bieber's neighbors take shelling with Justin's eggs

OH, THAT Justin Bieber.

He's such a . . . boy.

Sheriff's deputies in LA are investigating him once again for yet another dispute with a neighbor that could land him in court.

The county sheriff's super-busy spokesman, Steve Whitmore, says the Biebs has been named as a suspect in a misdemeanor vandalism and assault crime report for allegedly throwing eggs at a neighbor's home in their gated Calabasas neighborhood.

The 19-going-on-12-year-old pop star allegedly egged the house while his neighbor and neighbor's daughter were on the balcony. Whitmore says the two videotaped the incident.

Egging a house while the owners are taping you? This is some kind of yolk, right?

Whitmore said Bieber won't speak with deputies. Depending on the damage estimate, a charge could rise to a felony.

If that happens, Bieber could be whisked away and held in a cell where inmates would look to turn him over easy.

"Lone Survivor," the patriotic Navy SEAL drama starring Mark Wahlberg, Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch and Ben Foster, smashed expectations to earn $38.5 million domestically in its first weekend in wide release, according to studio estimates yesterday.

Directed by "Friday Night Lights" filmmaker Peter Berg, it's based on Marcus Luttrell's memoir about a dangerous mission his Navy SEAL team embarked on in Afghanistan in 2005.

"We're thrilled for us, the filmmakers and Marcus, who - as brave as a man as he is - continues to be brave in telling this true story," said Nikki Rocco, head of distribution for Universal. "It's an amazing result. What's most gratifying about this is that it's been endorsed by every quadrant of the moviegoing audience: young, old, male, female."

Rocco said "Lone Survivor" performed particularly well in middle America. The movie's launch marks the second-biggest opening for a film in January, after the $40.1 million debut of the monster movie "Cloverfield" in 2008.

In its eighth weekend, "Frozen" stayed cool in the No. 2 spot, earning $15 million and bringing its domestic total to $317 million, passing Disney Animation's $312 million record set by "The Lion King" in 1994.

* The WGN America network has ordered a 10-part series, "Ten Commandments," with a

deca-dent twist. Over 10 nights, 10 filmmakers will take on a single commandment with a modern interpretation of its meaning.

Wow, a program to both woo and offend religious viewers. Very clever, WGN.

Five filmmakers already committed for episodes are Gus Van Sant ("Drugstore Cowboy"), Lee Daniels ("The Butler"), Jim Sheridan ("My Left Foot"), Wes Craven ("Nightmare on Elm Street") and Michael Cera ("Arrested Development").

* Beautiful "Lust, Caution" actress Tang Wei (whom Tattle interviewed at the Toronto International Film Festival back in 2007) fell victim to a $35,000 fraud after being persuaded over the phone to wire money, China's Xinhua News Agency reported yesterday.

Citing local police, Xinhua reported that Tang was filming in Shanghai on Saturday afternoon when she received a phone call and was persuaded to go to a bank and wire the $35,000.

She fell for that? No Wei.

Tang shot to international fame in "Caution," playing a Chinese student activist who seduces a Japanese-allied spy chief in the underrated Ang Lee WWII-era thriller. Her politically sensitive role as a traitor in the movie led to a three-year reported blacklisting by Chinese film officials.

* When he performs at the Super Bowl next month, Bruno Mars will get help from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

As will our Super Bowl salsa.

* In other nonfootball-related Super Bowl news, the game will get more cute counterprogramming.

Following in the paw-steps of Animal Planet's "Puppy Bowl" and the Hallmark Channel's "Kitten Bowl," Nat Geo Wild network will air "Fish Bowl" - four hours of swimming goldfish.

So when your cat scratches up your flat screen, blame Nat Geo Wild.

* Gotta hand it to the Weather Channel - it has stones.

And we don't mean hailstones.

The channel (owned by Comcast NBC Universal) asked its viewers Saturday to urge Congress to intervene in its business dispute with DirecTV (which is threatening to drop the channel from its satellite service), arguing that pulling the channel from the air could harm public safety.

Huh? We like the Weather Channel, but it's not as if it has an exclusive on the weather. Locally, NBC10 has four people, including one named "Hurricane," bringing us First Alert Weather; CBS3 has five for Eyewitness Weather; 6ABC has five more and AccuWeather; and Fox 29 manages to get by with only three people as part of its Weather Authority team.

And that's in addition to Tattle's own forecasting service: Wake up and look out the window.

* "Partridge Family" heartthrob David Cassidy was arrested near Los Angeles International Airport after an officer allegedly spotted him making an illegal right turn against a red light.

He was arrested after the officer smelled alcohol in his rental car.

Is that 100 percent proof?

No, but it's 80.

Last year, Cassidy was pulled over in New York on suspicion of driving drunk. He also has a 2011 DUI conviction in Florida.
