Index fund management is heavily concentrated among three giant, trillion-dollar money managers that together hold some 20 percent of US stocks, Vanguard founder John Bogle told the CFA Institute meeting in Philadelphia. "The impact of all this concentration remains to be seen," he added. Those three firms are Blackrock, Vanguard and State Street, with a total of about 21 percent of the indexing market.
