TV picks: 'A.P. Bio,' Nas plays Kennedy Center,' 'Absentia,' and more

The Number on Great-Grandpa's Arm. HBO marks International Holocaust Remembrance day with this documentary, whose centerpiece is a conversation between 90-year-old Jack Feldman, who survived Auschwitz, and his 10-year-old great-grandson Elliott. 6 p.m. Saturday, HBO.

Queen Elizabeth's Secret Agents. Not to be confused with that old James Bond film, On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Three-part documentary series looks at the spy network that helped Queen Elizabeth I remain in power. In this week's premiere, the queen's cousin, Mary, queen of Scots, gets caught by that first Elizabeth's  secret service. 10 p.m. Sunday, WHYY12.

Citizen Rose. Rose McGowan (Charmed), whose accusations against producer Harvey Weinstein last fall became part of a national conversation, unveils a documentary series that follows the actress and activist's fight against sexual abuse and harassment. 8 p.m. Tuesday, E! Entertainment.

Bartlett. Six-episode musical comedy series, produced by Cherry Hill East grad Evan Shapiro (former head of NBC's now defunct streaming channel Seeso), follows one day in the life of an ad executive (Anthony Veneziale) who's thinking about chucking it all for a career in music. Featuring an appearance by Hamilton's Lin-Manuel Miranda, it will be available for streaming at vimeo.com or on Amazon, for 99 cents an episode or $4.99 for all six. Tuesday, Vimeo On Demand, Amazon.

The X-Files. "Ghouli," the latest installment of the conspiracy-minded series' revival, was written and directed by X-Files veteran James Wong, and might bring Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) a little bit closer to her long-lost son. 8 p.m. Wednesday, Fox.

A.P. Bio. Glenn Howerton (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia) stars as a philosopher from Harvard who handles a professional setback by moving back to Ohio, where he takes a job teaching — or not teaching — advanced-placement biology to a group of students whose brainpower he decides to harness for his own ends. Comedian Patton Oswalt plays the school principal. After this preview, the show's scheduled to return on March 1. 9:30 p.m. Thursday, NBC.

#MeToo, Now What? PBS wades into a fast-moving river with the debut of a five-episode series on sexual harassment and abuse that PBS president Paula Kerger promises will "engage women and men from all generations and walks of life as we seek to address two questions: How did we get here, and how we can use this moment to affect positive and lasting change?" Zainab Salbi, founder of Women for Women International, hosts. 8:30 p.m. Friday, WHYY12.

Absentia. Castle star Stana Katic is back, in a thriller where she's playing an FBI agent who returns to her family six years after she was presumed to have become the victim of a serial killer. It's not a joyous reunion: Her husband (Patrick Heusinger) has remarried, their son (Patrick McAuley) doesn't  remember her, and she's traumatized by the circumstances of her mysterious captivity. And if that's not enough,  she's about to become a murder suspect herself. Feb. 2, Amazon.

The Trade. Five-part documentary series looks at the opioid epidemic from multiple perspectives, including addicts, those in the supply chain, and law enforcement. 9 p.m. Feb. 2, Showtime.

Nas Live From the Kennedy Center: Classical Hip-Hop on Great Performances. Two musical worlds come together as Nas works with the National Symphony Orchestra on a performance of his 1994 album Illmatic. 9 p.m. Friday, WHYY12.

2 Dope Queens. Comedians and podcasters Jessica Williams and Phoebe Robinson perform in the first of four Friday night specials, with guests including former Daily Show host Jon Stewart. 11:30 p.m. Feb. 2, HBO.
