Drea Richard, owner of Andre Richard Salon, located at 1218 Locust Street, will donate 100 percent of the salon’s product sales to Hurricane Harvey relief.

So you’ve been holding back on buying your DevaCurl Low Poo, Redken shampoo, and Pureology hydrating conditioner, because — let’s face it, girls — that stuff is pricey.

This Labor Day weekend, however, you can buy your expensive hair goop and support a good cause.

Today through Monday, Drea Richard, owner of Andre Richard Salon at 1218 Locust St., will donate 100 percent of product sales to Hurricane Harvey victims. That also includes shampoo and conditioner designed especially to keep Keratin blow-out slick and shiny and ARS product (Andre Richard Salon private label).

“What took me over the edge is that I was watching TV one night, and I saw a lady watch her dogs drown in the floods,” said Richard said. “There I was sitting with my dog. … I know I can’t pack my bags and run to Houston, but my staff can work magic with their hands and give back.”

This is Richard’s second fund-raiser to support Harvey victims; on Thursday afternoon, she donated the sales from services. That included cuts, color, blow-outs, washes — the whole shebang. Richard raised more than $1,500.
