Philadelphia University’s annual student fashion show at the Moulin in Sherman Mills was a whirlwind of 420 student designer fashions featuring inspirations from Paris landscapes to medicine.

The best looks of the evening included a glitzy boho collection from senior Maria Balestino that she named Weathered Nomad, which won the Fashion Industries Association Award. Balestino collaborated with graduate student Rachel Snack and seniors Jessica Newman and Louise Sandstroem.

Jonathan Cantu’s floor-length, textured (as in lots of velvet), color-blocked sheaths won the Excellence in Eveningwear Award. Cantu collaborated with textile design senior Alyssa Yanni.

And the Fashion Industries Association Best of Show award went to senior Madison Chamberlain for a lacy women's wear line inspired by Paris’ struggling 19th-century artists. Chamberlain collaborated with Becky Flax.
