Sports betting: Lines and props for Monday night’s Seahawks-Bears game

Handicapper Vegas Vic recommends a light play on the Bears, who've been decent lately against the spread at home.

Looking at some odds and props being offered by the William Hill sportsbook at the Ocean Resort in Atlantic City for Monday night's game. Plenty of other options are available on the mobile sports betting apps in New Jersey.

Point spread: BEARS -4.5 over Seahawks. Over/under: 43.

First half: Bears -3. First half over/under: 21.

Player to score first touchdown

Three other props

Brandon Marshall total receptions. The line is four, which makes the over tempting. Marshall saw six targets last week and the Seahawks will be without No. 1 receiver Doug Baldwin, who is out for at least a few weeks with a knee injury. Marshall had some of his best seasons in Chicago and enjoys the heat of the primetime broadcast.

First quarter line. The Bears are even money to have the lead after the first quarter. Chicago got off to a fast start last week and Soldier Field will be on fire for Khalil Mack's home debut. Heck, Mack might even score another touchdown.

Seahawks alternate pointspread. William Hill has the Bears as 4.5-point favorites for the standard line. But for those who really like the Seahawks, they're offering 3-1 odds on Seattle, but the Seahawks are laying 3.5 points.

More lines

Team to score first: Bears -135, Seahawks +115

Seahawks points: 19.5. Bears points: 23.5.

Longest TD: 38.5 yards. Total sacks: 5.

Total FGs: 3.5. Russell Wilson completions: 21.

Russell Wilson pass/rush yards: 280.5.

Mitchell Trubisky pass yards: 220.5.

Jordan Howard rush yards: 76.5.

Vegas Vic’s pick

Not thrilled with the Bears/Seahawks matchup, but do have some interesting stats for you to ponder.

Chicago has not been the best investment as a favorite, covering only one of seven over the last three seasons. However, Da Bears have not been terrible at home, covering 10 of the last 15 with one push.

On the other side of the field, Seattle has been trending downward since the middle of last season. How far down? The 'Hawks have covered three of the last 11, and at 27%, it ain't gonna fill up the wallet.

If you have to make a play, make it a light one on Chicago.
