Adam Haseley promoted to Lakewood; 'Claws Darick Hall ties HR record

On Sunday, 2017 first-round pick Adam Haseley had two RBI without even registering a hit. A day later, he was promoted to Lakewood, a Phillies low-A affiliate. Imagine if he'd have gone 4-for-5.

Kidding.

Haseley, a left-handed hitting centerfielder, hit .270 (37-for-137) in 37 games for Williamsport of the New York-Penn League. Lakewood will be his third pro team since he was drafted eighth overall in June. Haseley, 21, started off with the Phillies' Gulf-Coast League affiliate going 7-for-12 in three games before getting moved to Williamsport.

The Crosscutters were the only Phillies affiliate to win on Sunday. Here's a roundup of the day:

Charlotte 9, Lehigh Valley 4: LHP Brandon Leibrandt gave up seven runs, including five in the decisive fifth inning, as the IronPigs lost for the fifth time in seven games.

1B Brock Stassi went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for Lehigh Valley (69-52), which is now tied with Rochester (Twins) for the IL wild-card. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, a Yankees club, holds a commanding eight game lead over both in the North Division.

SS J.P. Crawford (.239) went 1-for-3 with a run and a walk. Former Phillie Cody Asche, playing rightfield and batting second, went 1-for-5 for Charlotte with three strikeouts. He's hitting .315 at AAA after batting .105 (6-for-57) in 19 games for the White Sox early in the year.

The Iron Pigs next play on Tuesday when Tom Eshelman (8-3, 2.78) takes the mound at Norfolk. He will be opposed by Alec Asher (2-2, 4.10), a former Phillies farmhand who was traded in March to the Baltimore organization for cash.

Richmond 3, Reading 0: 3B Derek Campbell (.500), 2B Angelo Mora (.295), 1B Damek Tomscha (.316) each had three hits for the Fightins.

Campbell, promoted from Clearwater on Friday, has three hits in six at-bats for Reading (62-57).

RHP Tyler Viza gave up three solo home runs to fall to 8-8, 5.19. LHP Garrett Cleavinger, acquired from the Orioles in the Jeremy Hellickson deal, pitched a scoreless sixth inning, but walked two. He has a 6.75 ERA in 5.1 innings with the Phils over five appearances.

Lakeland 6, Clearwater 3: RHP Harold Arauz (4-3, 2.15) gave up three first-inning runs as the Threshers (23-27) dropped their seventh in a row.

LF Cornelius Randolph (.253) went 2-for-4 with his 50th RBIs of the season (in his 108th game). The 2015 first-round pick entered the year with 51 career professional RBIs in 121 games.

Delmarva 6, Lakewood 4: 1B Darick Hall tied the franchise record with his 24th homer of the season in the loss.

Hall's two-run homer in the eighth tied the Lakewood record set by Jose Pujols, who is now in Clearwater. His 83 RBIs are eight shy of the club record set by Randy Ruiz in 2004. Ruiz never made it to the majors.

Hall, a 14th-round pick in 2016, leads the SAL in both categories. He's hitting .270 on the season, but in August his batting .333 (16-for-48) with five home runs in 13 games.

The BlueClaws (22-28) nearly tied it in the ninth, but a potential home run by 3B Luke Williams was foul by only a few inches. He ended up striking out.

Williamsport 5, Tri-City 2: SS Nick Maton and C Rodolfo Duran each had two hits to lead the CrossCutters (25-24).
Haseley, in what turned our to be his final game for Williamsport, knocked in one run with a sac fly and another when he was hit by a pitch. He closed the Williamsport chapter of his development with nine doubles, two homers and 16 RBI.

The Phillies (25-16) were idle.
