The Goldbergs Trouble in paradise. Barry (Troy Gentile) is crazy about Lainey (AJ Michalka) until he finds out her father (David Koechner) roots, not for the Eagles, but for their despised rivals, the Dallas Cowboys. Gasp! Is that a deal breaker? 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on ABC6

Portlandia Fred Armisen's Spyke character faces charges for peddling unlicensed Bart Simpson merchandise. Which may explain the presence of Portland native and Simpsons creator Matt Groening as guest star. 10 p.m. Thursday on IFC

Bosch series premiere Titus Welliver (Lost) plays the LAPD detective Harry Bosch, popularized in Michael Connelly's crime novels. Right off the bat, he's on trial for shooting a suspected serial killer. The cast includes Annie Wersching (Extant) and two alumni of The Wire: Jamie Hector and Lance Reddick.
