A FEW PRANKSTERS hopped into a NYC taxicab on the set of "Safe" Friday night and drove it for about a block South on Broad Street from Walnut and then hopped out while laughing and ran off. A film spokeswoman says the taxi was promptly recovered by a crew member and that the film did file a police report.
GOOD NEWS for DJ Too Tuff, of the legendary Philly hip-hop act Tuff Crew. He's off probation. Too Tuff, born Joseph Hicks, was released from jail earlier this year - he was sentenced on an assault charge stemming from a fight at Silk City (5th & Spring Garden) while on parole for weed possession.
A "SAFE" STUNTMAN got a round of applause last night as he got up from a stretcher, after medics pulled him out of a Chevy Tahoe he was driving in a crash scene in the action/thriller being shot along JFK Boulevard between 18th and 19th streets. Onlookers feared for the stuntman after fire trucks and ambulances arrived, but he got up from the stretcher instead of being loaded into an ambulance.
