Will Ferrell, Zach Galifianakis stopping in Philadelphia for ‘The Campaign'

The film stars Ferrell as a longtime party-boy congressman and Galifianakis as the meek family man who becomes his first serious challenger.

Rydell resting up

Best wishes to Bobby Rydell, who is recuperating from a liver and kidney transplant he underwent at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. The South Philly-born crooner told KYW 1060 that his doctor didn't expect him to live long without the transplants.

Rydell was unable to return our call Wednesday about how long he's expected to be sidelined.

Rose, fiancée get show

Just when you thought there were no more reality-show subjects left, TLC has announced a new series about Pete Rose and his fiancée, Kiana Kim.

The show, tentatively titled "Pete Rose and Kiana Kim Family Project," follows the Phillies legend, who is 71, and the former Playboy model, who's in her early 30s, as they prepare for their wedding while living in separate cities, TLC says.

TLC has ordered five episodes of the show, which will be aired toward the end of the year.

Out and about

Actress Amber Heard got her hair done at Giovanni & Pileggi (258 S. 11th) Tuesday afternoon with her own colorist, Juvenico Jimenez, who is in town from Los Angeles.

Heard is about to begin shooting "Paranoia" here with Harrison Ford, Liam Hemsworth and Gary Oldman.

Shoe suit dropped

New York hedge-fund manager Daniel Shak has dropped the lawsuit he filed against his ex-wife, Bryn Mawr poker pro Beth Shak. The suit sought a chunk of Shak's massive shoe collection, worth an estimated $1 million.

Speaking of shoe lovers

A Ridley Park foot fetishist named Mark will be seen on TLC's "Strange Sex" at 10 p.m. Sunday in an episode called "Erotic Aroma & From Pleasure to Plain."

‘Always Sunny' contest

Olympic athletes may train for years, but fans of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" need only show up Aug. 4 at Xfinity Live to compete in the Sunny Challenge. Entrants will compete in games inspired by the FX series, such as Mac's Lucky Hockey Puck Shot, Charlie's Garbage Dive, Frank's Rum Ham Toss and Dennis' Speedo Relay Race. The event runs from noon to 4 p.m., and you must preregister for it at gofobo.it/sunnychallenge. The eighth season of the show created by South Philly native Rob McElhenney premieres Oct. 11.

‘10 Best Philadelphians'

Although Philadelphia magazine's annual Best of Philly issue won't hit newsstands for another week or so, we have learned the identities of the magazine's "10 Best Philadelphians," who will be honored in a private reception next week at the Kimmel Center: Comcast's Brian Roberts (business), 6ABC's Jim Gardner (media), Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins (athlete), restaurateurs Marcie Turney and Valerie Safran (urban renewal), R5 Productions concert promoter Sean Agnew (popular culture), Philadanco founder Joan Myers Brown (the arts), mayoral candidate turned filmmaker Sam Katz (civics), La Colombe coffee owner Todd Carmichael (entrepreneurship), and basketball player Elena Della Donne (ethics).

Barbers do battle

"Bad Girls Club" cast mate Cat Washington will be a guest at Sunday's Barber Wars International haircutting contest at the Philadelphia Airport Marriott.

Barbers from around the country will face off in the event, which stars at 4 p.m.
