AFTER SPENDING 11 seasons with the Eagles, Tra Thomas says there was "No question I would return back here" after retiring.

Thomas is gearing up for next month's opening of 7 Deuce Sports (175 Rt. 70 E.) in Medford, N.J., a 7,000-square-foot training facility for high-school and middle-school athletes. He hopes to enlist professional coaches to work there a bit in their off seasons.

The offensive tackle, who retired last year after a knee injury ("Instead of trying to be that old guy hanging on," as he says) and a staff of trainers will work on technique with athletes age 10 and older in a variety of team sports. Thomas is studying to be certified in strength and conditioning, and has enlisted the help of his longtime trainer, Chuck Morse, to work at 7 Deuce, named after Thomas' jersey number, 72.

Dykstra gets bling from NBC10

 Being interviewed by NBC10 could be one of the best decisions Lenny Dykstra's has made in ages. On Monday we told you that Dykstra and a hot blonde were comped a meal at The Palm (200 S. Broad) where NBC10 sends its "Sports Final" guests for dinner. We've since learned that the bankrupt former Phillies star, in town for a sports-card show, also picked up an $1,800 diamond bracelet for his ladyfriend at Steven Singer Jewelers (8th & Walnut), which also has a trade arrangement with NBC10. The Palm dinner and Steven Singer gift cards are disclosed as gifts to guests at the end of the Sunday "Sports Final" show. We're told that Nails let his companion choose her gift while he spent most of his time in the store talking on his phone and signing baseballs for a few employees. A station spokeswoman did not return our inquiry as to whether most guests receive nearly two grand in gifts to the jewelers.

Biden praises Kimmo in Finland

 Vice President Joe Biden spoke of wife Jill's love for hockey, specifically the Flyers, during a visit Monday to Helsinki, Finland. According to the White House press pool report, Biden told Finnish President Tarja Halonen that his wife, a "rabid hockey fan," was grateful for the Finnish people's contributions to the NHL, including Flyers defenseman Kimmo Timonen, whom he praised for having recently scored his 100th goal.

Speaking of Flyers fans . . .

The Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corp. will host a pre-game happy hour and viewing party in Toronto for tomorrow's Flyers-Maple Leafs game, at the new Hotel Le Germain Maple Leaf Square. There will be beer and hors d'oeuvres and Flyers merchandise giveaways.

Actor Luke Wilson, who shot indie comedy "Tenure" here in 2008, has been seen in the Rittenhouse Square area this week. Not sure why he's in town, nor does his publicist seem to know.
