Dan Gross: Snider-Martin an item again

THE ON-AGAIN off-again relationship between Comcast-Spectacor Chairman Ed Snider and businesswoman Roseanne Martin is newly back on, according to both Snider and Martin.

"We are happy as could be," the usually private Snider told us yesterday. The couple sat courtside at last night's Sixers game at the Wells Fargo Center.

Snider, 78, and Martin, 48, were once engaged before splitting up around 2003. From 2004 to 2009, he was married to jewelry designer Christine Decroix, wife No. 3, and Martin dated disgraced state Sen. Vince Fumo for several years. Snider and Martin reconnected shortly after his divorce.

Luries silent on Oscar snub

Charles Ferguson shouldn't count on Christina and Jeff Lurie to fund his next documentary.

The director of "Inside Job," which won best documentary at Sunday's Oscars, failed to thank the couple, who were executive producers of the film about corporate malfeasance and the 2008 Wall Street collapse, in his on-stage acceptance speech.

After thanking 12 other people, he did thank the couple backstage on Oscar.com's "Thank You Cam," but only after being prompted by producer Audrey Marrs.

Christina Lurie "felt like she was slapped in the face," wrote Metro's Laura Goldman yesterday, quoting a friend of Lurie's.

Ferguson told the paper that he had "inadvertently" forgotten to thank the couple, and said "Fortunately the Luries know how grateful I am to them for what they brought to this project."

In an e-mail last night, Eagles spokeswoman Pamela Browner White told us: "The Luries were very pleased to win an Oscar. They are extremely proud of the incredible job Charles Ferguson and Audrey Marrs did on the documentary, period! It was a great night and a great honor overall to be a part of such an important movie. There is nothing more to say."

Ocean City is 'Biutiful'

Big Daddy Graham says the only part of "Biutiful" that wasn't depressing was when Javier Bardem's character inexplicably puts on an Ocean City, N.J., sweatshirt. The Spanish film, nominated for two Oscars - best foreign-language film and Bardem for best actor - takes place in "the worst ghetto in Spain," says the 610- WIP overnight host. "I'm one of these guys who puts clothes in the Salvation Army bin so maybe someone donated it," says Graham, who caught the film at the Ritz Five (2nd & Walnut), where he said everyone in the theater whispered to or nudged their companions when the sweatshirt came on screen. "I haven't had a Scotch since I was diagnosed with cancer - my throat's not ready for it yet - but I had five after seeing that movie," says Graham, who appreciated the picture, despite how "unrelentingly" depressing it was.

She taught tap to Jamison

State Sen. Vincent Hughes was sure to bring his mom, Ann Hughes, to the Alvin Ailey Dance Company performance at the Kimmel Center Saturday night. Why? Because his mom long ago taught tap dance to Judith Jamison, longtime artistic director of the Ailey company. A retirement reception for Jamison followed the show, and was attended by City Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown, an ex-dancer with Philadanco, among others.

Three Philadelphia teens are just back from Miami's Sun Life Rising Star Awards Summit at which they met tennis great Venus Williams, Dolphins QB Chad Pennington and receiver Davone Bess. Bintu Sherif, nominated by Philadelphia Futures; Fernando Morales, nominated by the LEAD Program; David Buckholtz, nominated by Urban Affairs Coalition, and 19 other students from across the country were part of a group discussing issues affecting high school kids. They were honored by Sun Life, a financial-services organization, for academic excellence. Sun Life gave each nonprofit a $50,000 grant, and each student a $5,000 college scholarship.
