Broad Street Baller

Like so many 76ers diehards, Broad Street Baller has been suffering through the post-Iverson years, waiting for another Chosen One to lead us out of the NBA wilderness.   The One hasn’t arrived yet, but Doug Collins, a great coach, has -- along with some fine young players. The Sixers vs. Miami is David vs. Goliath. No, worse. It’s Mini-Me vs. Goliath. So it’s not happening for us this year. But are we witnessing the birth of High Hopes for the future? Discuss.

By Rich Hofmann Jr. To somebody from Philly, all the green on the drive to Williamsport can be pretty overwhelming. Even after driving on Interstate 80 for an hour, the landscape traversed by Route 15 is still striking, so much so that anything man-made feels strangely out of place. As you make your way into South Williamsport, Bald Eagle Mountain rises to the west; the Susquehanna River flows through the valley to the east. No, it's not the Rockies, but it's still pretty cool.

I'M BROAD STREET Baller, pumped for what could be a great night for Philly gym rats - if our no-superstar 76ers somehow upset the three-superstar Miami Heat. I am not alone.
