SARAH JESSICA PARKER was mobbed in the Badlands.

At first, no one noticed the "Sex and the City" star walking the streets of North Philadelphia until a man on the street recognized her.

"Is that? Sex . . . ? Sex . . . ?" Then a glimmer of recognition crossed his faced. "Sex and the City!"

Parker happily took selfies with well-wishers, asking a man about his "RIP" neck tattoo.

Parker may be spending a lot of time in the neighborhood in the near future. She was in town shadowing Daily News reporters Wendy Ruderman and Barbara Laker. Parker is set to star in a TV adaptation of their book, Busted, a fabulous read chronicling their Pulitzer Prize-winning series, "Tainted Justice." Parker et al would love to shoot on location.

Director David Frankel ("The Devil Wears Prada") and producer Carla Hacken, president of production at Sidney Kimmel Entertainment, were along for the ride that brought them to our headquarters at 801 Market St. The trio sat in on the daily Page One meeting before hitting the streets of Kensington and taking a tour through the Northeast. Parker, an architecture buff, marvelled at Philly's offerings, including the abandoned Divine Lorraine Hotel (699 N. Broad St.) and City Hall.

Although a fancy lunch was offered, SJP, dressed casually in jeans, tan heeled booties and little (if any) makeup, chose to go where Ruderman and Laker often eat, heading to Coco's (112 S. 8th St.) for a French dip, a Greek salad and shared fries.

A 'Bachelorette' birth

Former Penn dental student Ashley Hebert, a/k/a the Season 7 "Bachelorette," gave birth to her first child, Fordham Rhys Rosenbaum, with Season 7 victor/husband J.P. Rosenbaum, according to US Weekly. Hebert completed her residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children.

The couple married in December 2012. They reside in Princeton, although they will be moving to Miami, a fact they revealed on the "Men Tell All" episode of the most recent season, starring Andi Dorfman, who is dating the brother of former Fox 29 doyenne Kacie McDonnell.

"It was a brutal winter for us and I think we just needed a change, something where we could just have a good quality of life year 'round," Hebert said on the special. "I just want to be able to go outside all year and enjoy life."

Baggage check

Stars! They're just like us! Former "Saturday Night Live" lady Nasim Pedrad was in town yesterday promoting her new show, "Mulaney," premiering Sunday on Fox at 9:30 p.m.

Pedrad, who used to play everyone on "SNL" from Kim Kardashian and Nicki Minaj to Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, was in a bind when she arrived late Monday night. U.S. Airways had misplaced her luggage, forcing her and a Fox rep to raid the giant Walgreens (1 S. Broad St.) across from their Ritz-Carlton dwelling. Never fear, her luggage was delivered at 11:30 a.m. yesterday.

Local gal takes 'Selfie'

Did you catch ABC's Pygmalion-by-way-of-Twitter comedy, "Selfie," last night? Then you saw locally born and raised Amanda Jane Cooper - who attended Malvern's Great Valley High School before Carnegie Mellon University - as a ukulele-playing hipster. Word is she'll also be on the third episode, airing Oct. 14.

Cooper's credits include appearing as Glinda in the first national tour of "Wicked," as well as "Glee," "Bones" (alongside Philly guy David Boreanaz) and "Masters of Sex."
