Plea deal for Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber on Wednesday avoided a DUI conviction by making a plea deal stemming from his Jan. 23 arrest in Miami Beach. The 20-year-old warbler was nabbed after allegedly having a drag race in his rented Lamborghini with a Ferrari driven by R&B singer Khalil Amir Sharieff. Bieber, who also was charged with resisting arrest, was given urine tests that showed the presence of marijuana and Xanax in his system. In the deal, he will take a 12-hour anger-management course and pay a $50,000 charitable contribution plus fines.
