Hats off to Justin Timberlake

WHEN JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE played the Wells Fargo Center on Sunday night, he announced his love of Mitchell & Ness onstage but failed to mention his first love, wifey Jessica Biel, who was watching the show.

OK, on to the shopping. Timberlake stopped by the Mitchell & Ness flagship store (1201 Chestnut St.) about 4 p.m. with tour director (and Philly native) Adam Blackstone, telling the shopkeeps he's really into hats right now.

Timberlake got some Memphis Grizzlies hats - snapbacks and knit - which makes sense considering he's a minority owner in the team. Timberlake also grabbed Packers gear, ironic considering he was shopping right after the Eagles trounced Green Bay. But Timberlake couldn't leave without a Mitchell & Ness-branded hat and vest.

Timberlake will be back at Wells Fargo Center on Feb. 25. Tickets are available at comcasttix.com.

Queen crowns Philly teen

Queen Latifah made North Philly's own Denzel Austin Thompson quite the happy urban farmer.

Thompson, you might remember from my column, is the teen who transformed a North Philly lot into an urban garden, teaching local kids how to till. Nick Cannon decided to recognize his efforts with a TeenNick HALO Award that came with a prize including a celeb mentor. Thompson's famous friend is Queen, which she will announce on her show, aptly titled "The Queen Latifah Show," tomorrow at 3 p.m. on CBS3.

"Denzel's the one changing the world right now," Latifah said. "It's in his hands and his generation's hands. I'm really proud of him because when the world gets to see people like him, it shows that his generation is not just about texting all the time or doing a crazy dance. They have gifts and abilities, and they're connecting people in a way that no generation will ever be able to do."

Watch Thompson collect his honor Sunday at 8 p.m. on Nick at Nite.

'Mob'-ed up

Philly's own Alicia DiMichele and Natalie Guercio will be hanging out with Renee Graziano, Drita D'Avanzo and "Big Ang" on the upcoming season of VH1's "Mob Wives."

DiMichele's appearance was well-known, considering the People Paper's own William Bender investigated the feds' interest in her involvement with hubs Eddie "Tall Guy" Garofalo. When not being the subject of reality television, DiMichele owns Addiction Boutique, with locations in Cherry Hill and South Philly.

Ex-"Mob Wives" regular Karen Gravano was apparently ousted from the show to make way for DiMichele. Gravano's pops, Sammy "The Bull," allegedly orchestrated a hit, ordered by John Gotti, on DiMichele's father-in-law, Edward Garafolo Sr., in 1990.

But Guercio is a new name on the list. She's the scion of the Carto Funeral Home (2212 S. Broad St.) family. Guercio is the single mom to Nunzio. From the sound of it, Guercio's story line will focus on her attempts to date outside the mob lifestyle.

The new season premieres Dec. 5 at 10 p.m.

TLo get hitched

Celebrity fashion bloggers, and Philly denizens, Tom and Lorenzo (tomandlorenzo.com) got married at Old City's Bistro 7 (7 N. 3rd St.) this weekend, with flowers courtesy of Old City Flowers and a gorgeous cake from the Whipped Bakeshop. They announced their engagement via Twitter after the Defense of Marriage Act was deemed unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. Congrats, boys!

'Thief,' caught

Best-selling author Markus Zusak will sign copies of his book The Book Thief at Barnes & Noble (1805 Walnut St.) from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. tonight. After the signing, Zusak will join the star of the upcoming film adaptation, Sophie Nelisse, and director Brian Percival at the Ritz Five for a special screening of the movie, followed by a Q&A. The Book Thief opens at the Ritz Five on Friday.
