Sideshow: That's Mrs. Blackstock to you

Told ya' it'd happen: Kelly Clarkson, 31, got married this weekend, putting to rest a week's worth of rumors.

Told ya' it'd happen: Kelly Clarkson, 31, got married this weekend, putting to rest a week's worth of rumors.

The American Idol champ on Monday tweeted, "I'm officially Mrs. Blackstock :) We got married yesterday at Blackberry Farms in TN, the most beautiful place ever!"

It better be: The venue is a 4,200-acre luxury hotel and resort in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, reports the New York Daily News. Kelly's tweet included three cute wedding pics. In one, the groom, Brandon Blackstock, is giving her a smooch on the cheek. And yes, she wore white for the big day. (A lacy, long-sleeve number by Temperley.)

Kelly and Brandon initially were planning an elaborate wedding but in August she told People mag she was scrapping the big do and going small.

"Everything is such a spectacle, we were like, 'We would rather have an intimate moment that's special,' " she said. And she did: Sunday's ceremony was attended by a small circle of family and friends.

Woody to talk at Princeton

Given his prodigious output as a writer and director, Woody Allen probably is responsible for the eradication of an entire continent's worth of trees. (He has 71 film writing credits and 49 directing ones on IMDB.com, and has published a dozen books to boot.)

There's so much of it, Allen has been donating his work to Princeton University for the last 33 years. (It fills 48 boxes, says the Times of Trenton.)

The 77-year-old auteur will discuss his films (and the trees he's killed?) at a sold-out Q&A Sunday at Richardson Auditorium. And on Monday, Princeton's Firestone Library will exhibit the Allen papers, including his scripts for Manhattan, Annie Hall, and Hannah and Her Sisters.

Rihanna in trouble again

Rihanna has touched a few too many cultural nerves during her sojourn in the reportedly lovely city of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates: She was kicked out of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque this weekend. Her crime? I mean, she did bother to don an outfit that covered her arms, legs, and hair, as per custom. But it seems the locals took issue with the fact that her outfit was very form-fitting, revealing her curves. What's more, Rihanna was seen striking sexy poses outside the mosque for a series of photos.

Tidbits 'n' pieces

It's too early to tell the effect it'll have on Wall Street, but Johnny Depp, 50, has dyed his hair blond. . . . Mary J. Blige will sing the national anthem prior to Game 1 of the 2013 World Series on Wednesday.

Lady Gaga clears the record

Lady Gaga spent a couple of hours Sunday alerting her disciples that her single "Do What U Want," featuring R. Kelly, was due at midnight.

She also took the time to address a series of accusations leveled at her by critics, listing each complaint in all-caps with her answer to follow.

"MADONNA HATES GAGA SHES OVER," ran one. Her reply: "i dont need anybodys permission to be remembered. I will be. Whether they like it or not" Glad that was cleared up.
