Lea Michele

says she not only misses

Cory Monteith

the man, but also the character he played on the TV musical.

"I feel like, for me personally, I've lost two people: Cory and Finn," Lea, 27, tells TV Week Australia. "There was no greater man than Cory."

Monteith, who was 31 when he died of a drug overdose in July, was set to be memorialized on Glee on Thursday night.

Titled "The Quarterback," the tribute episode took an emotional toll on Lea, but she says she has no plans to leave Glee.

"Everyone is asking: 'Is it hard to do this? Is it hard to be back at work?' " she says, "but the truth is it's no harder at work than it is in life, so we might as well all be together as a family supporting each other to get through this together."

Meanwhile, Glee creator Ryan Murphy tells USA Today he'll never forget shooting the episode. "I've never seen a crew that can't continue shooting because they've left the room sobbing. It was very hard," he says.
