Wakey!Wakey! is for the most part Mike Grubbs on piano and vocals. However, the band is not a solo project and incorporates many more musicians to round out the sound, including strings, drums, and horns. Not only has their music been featured on TV's 'One Tree Hill,' but frontman Mike Grubbs also has a recurring role. "With heartfelt ballads, and Grubbs' striking vocals, the band merges downcast classical renderings and pop rock-smarts, to formulate a dynamic sound all their own. "
