Philadelphia Parks and Recreation's Cobbs Creek Community Environmental Center is hosting Fox & Maple Day on March 10th. Cobbs Creek Park is known for its abundant red fox population. Kate Garchinsky will give a special presentation about red foxed, the subject of the book she beautifully illustrated, ‘The Secret Life of the Red Fox. Help our staff tap maple trees for sap and see how the sap is boiled down to syrup. Nature walks will be held hourly to search for fox, deer, birds, and to demonstrate how to identify trees in winter. There will also be children's activities and maple syrup tastings.
