Producing the Top Workplaces 2011 section

Workers gave lots of reasons for loving their jobs at the region's midsize employers - those with 150 to 499 on the local payroll. Here is a sampling of anonymous responses from people at the top midsize workplaces in the Philadelphia region.

Power Home Remodeling Group, Chester

The people are incredible. I have the freedom to create and implement as my skill set allows.

The work is challenging and everyone is a team player.

I love coming to work every day and being able to be myself.

Every morning I wake up excited to go to work. Every morning!

ViroPharma Inc., Exton

I am given the autonomy/responsibility to get the job done in a manner that I see fit.

I believe in what we are doing, who we are doing it for, and mostly I believe in my teammates here at ViroPharma.

I can be flexible and creative.

I get to advocate for others. What is more fulfilling than to do for others. I love it!

Artman Lutheran Home, Ambler

I am able to care for older adults who are my favorite people and my organization gives me the tools and time needed to do my job.

I feel that I am listened to and I feel my opinion counts! I am excited for the future of our organization. I love my job!

I work with a group of people who genuinely care about their jobs and are passionate about the work we do and the residents we take care of.

Crowne Plaza Valley Forge, King of Prussia

Great team. We all are very good at what we do!

It is a rewarding and fun place to work.

TruMark Financial Credit Union, Trevose

It is a great organization, and I do not feel any pressure at all. No stress.

It is a small enough organization that the work I do is recognized, and it makes me want to continue to strive to do the best I can.

My opinion matters.

Lincoln Investment, Wyncote

I can see how my daily tasks impact the company. I also get to be involved in different departments instead of sitting in one place all day.

When my husband was sick, everyone understood what I was dealing with and stood behind me.
