M. Ward and Zooey Deschanel began making music together when they met on the set of "The Go-Getter." Their duet there led to folk-rock duo She & Him.
An ungrammatical but harmonious tandem
Zooey Deschanel thought that she might explode. "I've been writing music since I was a little girl," says the 28-year-old indie-movie ingenue who makes up half of She & Him. The duo will play the Trocadero tomorrow in support of their fetching folk-rock debut, Volume One.

Phillies fall out of first place
Carlos Delgado hit a tiebreaking, two-run double in the eighth inning and Oliver Perez recorded 12 strikeouts as the Mets beat the Phillies, 3-1, to take over first place in the NL East.

Phillies starter Jamie Moyer also had a strong outing, allowing only one earned run and two hits in seven innings.
