Apple's mapping chief is shown the door - Bloomberg

Bloomberg is reporting that Richard Williamson, who oversaw Apple's mapping team, has been dismissed.

Apple's new mapping program was panned after it proved to be inaccurate. Bloomberg said the company is continuing to work on fixing the application, even as its users seek alternatives.

Apple removed Google's map app with its most recent iOS update.
