Device helps police track laptop stolen in W. Pa.

HOPWOOD, Pa. - State police say they charged a man with stealing a laptop computer after a monitoring device inside it led police to a southwestern Pennsylvania home where the computer was being used.

Thirty-eight-year-old Chea Lamont White, whose address wasn't immediately available, was arrested on theft charges Monday at a home in Clairton, where the computer was being used.

The computer had been stolen from a home in South Union Township, near Uniontown.

Troopers were able to track a signal sent from the computer whenever it was used.

Online court records do not list an attorney for White.
