Updated NJ Transit Web site goes online today

NJ Transit has redesigned its Web site (www.njtransit.com) to offer customers quicker access to information with fewer mouse clicks beginning today.

The streamlined site allows passengers to view the color-coded "on time" status of all rail, light rail, and bus lines from the home page.

A trip planner that integrates Google maps also will be available on the home page.

DepartureVision, which displays train departure boards on mobile devices, will be available at most stations. Passengers can see arrival times, track assignments, and the train's status. It will be added to Hoboken and New York's Penn Station in the future. - AP
