Philly ranked 4th worst city for small-biz workers

A credit-card website, which previously ranked Philadelphia the fifth best city in the country as a travel destination, now declares it's one of the worst places to work for a small business.

Out of 30 cities analyzed, only the California cities of Sacramento and Riverside, followed by last-place Detroit, ranked lower than Philadelphia, according to CardHub.com.

"The City of Brotherly Love ranks in the bottom 10 nationally in terms of small business vitality, unemployment, stress, and cost of living," according to CardHub's news release. "It also sits in the middle of the pack for small businesses per capita, small business job growth, new hire earnings, and industry variety. About the only thing the Philadelphia metro area has going for it is that its employees work the 4th fewest hours, on average."
