Coming in September: First new residential townhouses on Kelly Drive in 60 years
The 21 townhouses, called The Overlook, will start at $699,000 and will each feature three bedrooms, three full bathrooms and a powder room.
This September, HOW Group is set to open The Outlook – the first new residential townhome project on Kelly Drive in more than 60 years. In a release, founder Gary Jonas said the company selected the East Falls neighborhood in Northwest Philadelphia because of its proximity to amenities and easy access to Center City.
"East Falls is a hidden gem and we're excited to play a role in helping to attract new residents to one of the best-kept secrets in the city," he said.
The 21 townhouses, called The Overlook, will start at $699,000 and will each feature three bedrooms, three full bathrooms and a powder room.
In the statement, Jonas said the company is banking on attracting buyers with high-end finishes that would command significantly higher prices elsewhere in the city. They will have the option to select specific finishes for the kitchen, which will boast 9- or 10-foot ceilings.
"Similar properties in Fairmount or Graduate Hospital are priced 30 to 40 percent higher on average," he said.
The third floor of each will be home to a master suite with a balcony. Each will also feature a partially green roof deck with wet bar. Below, each home will have a one- or two-car attached garage.
