Five Philly chief executives made Glassdoor's list of most beloved bosses: Corey Schiller and Asher Raphael of Power Home Remodeling in Chester; Stephen B. Burke of Comcast's NBCUniversal, formerly chief operating officer of Comcast Corp; Bill McDermott, of SAP in Newtown Square; and J. Mark Baiada, of Bayada Home Health Care in Moorestown.

Top of the list was Benno Dorer of the Clorox Co., followed by World Wide Technology chief executive Jim Kavanaugh. Elon Musk of SpaceX ranked eighth. Mark Zuckerberg at Facebook came in at number 10. Schiller and Raphael were 14 on the list, Burke 22, McDermott 24, and Baiada 64.

Baiada started his own business in 1975, bankrolling it with $16,000 in personal savings. Baiada had wanted to be a priest until "I discovered girls," he said in a 2015 interview.

"We know that CEO approval ratings correlate to overall employee satisfaction and trust in senior leadership, which contributes to long-term employee engagement, ultimately helping an employer's recruiting and retention efforts," said Robert Hohman, Glassdoor cofounder and CEO, said in a statement. Glassdoor is an online job recruiting site that also features company ratings by current and former employees.
