Temple nurses, technicians ratify contract

Temple University Health System nurses and technicians ratified a three-year contract Tuesday.

The contract between the university and the Pennsylvania Association of Staff Nurses and Allied Professionals (PASNAP) will provide 6.75 percent wage increase over the life of the contract, the union said.

The contract, which covers about 2,000 health professionals, also includes provisions for safer staffing and for converting part-time and temporary workers into full-time employees with benefits, the union said.

PASNAP represents 8,300 nurses and health professionals throughout Pennsylvania.
