College isn’t for everyone. While earning a bachelor’s degree will typically lead to a higher paying career, it’s not always the case.
There are many jobs that don’t require a four-year degree, such as a dental hygienist, web developer and registered nurse, that have salaries of more than $60,000 per year.
These are just some of the jobs that were recently listed by career-guidance website CareerCast.com as the best jobs that don’t require a college degree.
Many of the jobs, however, do require specialized training, whether it’s at vocational school, at a two-year program, or just learning on site at the job. For those who can’t afford college and are interested in pursuing careers in healthcare, personal services and information technology, this is especially useful.
