Wegmans recalls 6K pounds of Philly-produced ham

E.G. Emil's & Sons, Inc., which supplies meat to national grocery chains, issued the recall for Wegmans private label Food You Feel Good About organic ham with pack lot numbers 14941309, 14941310 and 14941311.
A Wegmans employee who sliced the ham at a deli counter discovered the foreign items, USDA officials said in a news release. The problem was traced to a piece of plastic that broke off from an interlocker belt.
The ham, which is stamped with "EST 9935" inside the USDA mark of inspection on the labels, was produced May 29. It was sold between June 12 and June 25 at Wegmans locations in Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
Neither Emil's & Sons nor the Food Safety and Inspection Service has received any reports of injury associated with consuming the ham, officials said.
