Denise Lindsay has been appointed to the Pennsylvania Bankers Association's (PBA) Women in Banking Advisory Committee for a three-year term. She will assist women in the areas of professional development, networking, recognition, mentoring and volunteerism. The Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership, a nonprofit organization has named the following directors: AeLin Compton, community initiatives specialist for the Philadelphia Parks and Recreation Office of Stewardship; Maria Kiernan, an independent health policy consultant; and Luanda Morris, Early Head Start specialist for the PA Key/Berks County Intermediate Unit's Early Head Start - Child Care Partnerships. The group named the following to its board of advisors: Andrew Sharp, deputy director, Mayor's Office of Sustainability; Laura S. Craig, director, science and economics program for American Rivers; and Stefanie Kroll, project science director at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University.

United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey has announced its 2016-17 annual fundraising campaign. Daniel J. Hilferty, president and chief executive officer, Independence Blue Cross, will serve as chair of the campaign, and Christopher Cashman, former executive vice president and president of commercial markets, Independence Blue Cross, will serve as co-chair.

Studio Incamminati, School for Contemporary Realist Art, a nonprofit educational institution named Ali Houshmand, president of Rowan University, and Judge Andrea Canepari, consul general of Italy in Philadelphia, to its board.

Marinus Pharmaceuticals Inc., a Radnor biopharmaceutical company developing therapeutics to treat epilepsy and neuropsychiatric disorders, has named Seth H.Z. Fischer to its board. He is CEO and director of Vivus Inc., and served in various positions at Johnson & Johnson, most recently as company group chairman at Johnson & Johnson and Worldwide Franchise chairman of Cordis Corp.

Paolo Pucci has been elected to the board of West Pharmaceutical Services Inc., Exton. Pucci is CEO of ArQule Inc., and had served as senior vice president of the Global Specialty Medicine Business Unit at Bayer A.G.

Harvey Portner, a partner with the Professional Healthcare Institute in Elkins Park, has been named to a two-year term as president of the board for Visiting Nurse Association Community Services Inc. Other board officers include Michael A. Coakley, director at Kreischer Miller, vice president; Claire Steinberg, vice president of Health & Welfare, Corporate Development at Lincoln Benefits Group, treasurer; and Valerie Ward, a retired teacher, secretary.

Coatings supplier Axalta Coating Systems of Philadelphia, has elected Samuel L. Smolik to its board. He is senior vice president of Americas manufacturing at LyondellBasell Industries.

The Pennsylvania Growing Greener Coalition, Harrisburg, a coalition of conservation, recreation, and preservation organizations in the Commonwealth, has named the following to its executive committee: Tim Herd, executive director, Pennsylvania Recreation and Park Society; Andrew Loza, executive director of the Pennsylvania Land Trust Association; and Marci Mowery, president of the Pennsylvania Parks and Forest Foundation.
