Business People on the Move: Safeguard Scientifics hires senior vice president and managing director of technology

Safeguard Scientifics Inc., Wayne, has hired Martina F. Aufiero as senior vice president and managing director, technology. She had been managing director and head of corporate development for a New York-based financial technology firm, Tradeweb.

Safeguard Scientifics Inc., Wayne, has hired Martina F. Aufiero as senior vice president and managing director, technology. She had been managing director and head of corporate development for a New York-based financial technology firm, Tradeweb.

Tompkins VIST Bank, Wyomissing, Pa., has hired Joe Cavallo as manager of its new Pottstown branch. He had been assistant branch manager at National Penn Bank.

Penn Community Bank, Doylestown, has hired Jacklyn M. Bingaman as senior vice president, director of marketing. She had been vice president, director of marketing and brand management for National Penn.

Mark Foster has been named chief commercialization officer and vice president, worldwide sales, of Trice Medical, a medical device company in King of Prussia. The company makes "mi-eye," a mini-camera and light mounted on a 14-gauge needle - the kind used in vaccinations - and wired to an Android tablet. He had been vice president, U.S. sports medicine, in the Advanced Surgical Device Division of Smith & Nephew.

Neeraj Aggarwal has joined Philadelphia law firm Cozen O'Connor as chief financial officer.    He held the same post at Ballard Spahr.

Monument Bank, Doylestown, has hired Robert Hedley as vice president, sales, for the residential mortgage division and commercial lending offices in its Warminster office. He had been national sales director at Meridian Bank.

Huntingdon Valley Bank, Huntingdon Valley, has hired Chris Jacobsen as executive vice president and chief operating officer. He had been market director at Beneficial Mutual Bancorp Inc. and before that executive vice president and chief operating officer at SE Financial Corp.

Megon Ungar joined the Hilton Philadelphia at Penn's Landing Hotel as convention services manager. She spent four years at the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau as membership and special events coordinator. Also, Lauren Ruth has been hired as business travel sales manager. She had been group sales manager at FireSky Resort & Spa and the corporate sales manager at the Hyatt House Scottsdale, both in Arizona.

Dana Schneider has been promoted to operations manager from operations coordinator at Avison Young, a Philadelphia commercial real estate services firm.

PWC, Philadelphia, has promoted Ted Sloyer, assurance partner on the asset management team, and John Frazier, advisory partner in the deals business, to partner. Also, Jin Han joins the firm as an advisory partner in the Philadelphia office. He had been lead managing director of Accenture's CyberSecurity Threat & Vulnerability Management practice.

Greyhawk, a Mount Laurel construction management and consulting firm, has named Barrett Richards as managing consultant. He had been a manager with EY, New York, working in the construction and real estate advisory services group.

Benjamin J. Ginsberg has joined The Lapin Group L.L.C., Jenkintown, as a consultant. He had been director of institutional advancement with AIM Academy in Conshohocken. The Lapin Group provides fund-raising consulting and management services for U.S.-based and international nonprofits.

Janney Montgomery Scott L.L.C., Philadelphia, has hired John Putrino as managing director in the real estate investment banking group. He had been CEO of Sachem Street Capital Advisors.

JLT Re, a London provider of insurance, reinsurance, employee benefits advice, and brokerage and associated services, has appointed Mark Shumway as global head of strategic advisory in its Philadelphia office. He had been managing director and head of strategic advisory for the Asia-Pacific region at Guy Carpenter.

Chesapeake Utilities Corp., Dover, Del., has hired Greg Robinson as director of corporate security. He had been senior director, team and arena security for the NBA in New York City. Prior to that, he was senior security adviser for the Joint Staff Protection Directorate at the Pentagon and the senior operations director for homeland security at the Army Operations Center.

Deborah Hospital Foundation, the fund-raising arm of Deborah Heart and Lung Center of Browns Mills, has hired Tom Drotar as major gifts officer. Drotar was senior director of development at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center.

HazTek Inc., a Medford provider of safety management services, has hired Rocky Levee as principal consultant for its new mid-Atlantic region, serving Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia. He had been a safety and health manager at Access Environmental & Demolition Inc. in Baltimore.

Royer Cooper Cohen Braunfeld L.L.C., Conshohocken, has hired Marc E. Hirschfield and Marc Skapof as partners in the firm's New York City office. Both men joined from Baker & Hostetler L.L.P., where Hirschfield was a partner and Skapof counsel.

Michael J. Fekete has joined Montgomery McCracken as a partner in the firm's litigation department in its Cherry Hill office. He had been a partner at Dilworth Paxson L.L.P.

American Water Works Co., Voorhees, has hired Melissa K. Wikle as vice president and controller. She had been corporate controller and chief accounting officer at Columbus McKinnon Corp. and vice president of SEC reporting at MetLife.

AmeriQuest Business Services, Cherry Hill, provider of financial process automation, procurement, and asset-management services, has promoted Patrick Moynahan to director of marketing from marketing manager.

Richard G. Cuming has been named chief nurse executive at Christiana Care Health System, effective Aug. 1. At the Philadelphia-based Einstein Healthcare Network, he served as chief nurse executive and vice president for health care services. Prior to joining Einstein in 2014, he served as a nursing executive for operations management in the Performance Management and Innovation Department at Tenet Healthcare Corp.

Continuum Health Alliance, a Marlton-based regional physician-practice management company, has named Don McDaniel president and CEO. McDaniel is the founder and former CEO of Sage Growth Partners, a health-care strategy, technology, and marketing firm.

Adinolfi & Packman, P.A., Haddonfield, has elevated attorney Julie R. Burick to a non-equity partner with the firm from associate.

Buchanan Public Relations, Bryn Mawr, has promoted John Reynolds from account coordinator to assistant account executive.

Cozen O'Connor, Philadelphia, has expanded its presence in South Florida, the West Coast and New York with the addition of 15 intellectual property lawyers from Miami-based Feldman Gale, a nationally recognized intellectual property boutique.

The lawyers reside predominantly in the firm's Miami and San Francisco offices. The lawyers who joined the intellectual property department in Florida include firm founders James Gale and Jeffrey Feldman. Other attorneys include partners Samuel Lewis, Rafael Perez-Pineiro, Susan Latham and Thomas Dye, of counsel Victor Castellucci, and associates Javier Sobrado, Dr. Gene Lang, A. Robert Weaver, David Stahl, Matthew Horowitz and Jonathan Gale. Partner Lawrence S. Gordon has joined the San Francisco office and Feldman Gale's current head of the Trademark Prosecution Department, Ashley Kessler, will reside it in New York office.

Pennsylvania National Mutual Casualty Insurance Co. (Penn National Insurance), Harrisburg, has named Lyle Rhodebeck senior vice president and CFO. Rhodebeck has worked at Shelby Insurance as CFO; Grange Insurance as vice president of Claims and vice president of Personal Lines; and most recently at State Auto as senior vice president -- director of operations. The company, founded in 1919, underwrites insurance in nine mid-Atlantic/eastern and two mid-western states, selling commercial and personal property-casualty insurance through its network of independent agencies.

PPG, a Pittsburgh maker of paint and coatings, has promoted Max Wetzel to vice president, global strategic marketing, architectural coatings. He had been chief marketing officer and general manager, home centers, U.S. and Canada.  Wetzel will be responsible for the global marketing strategy of architectural coatings across the U.S. and Canada; the Europe, Middle East and Africa region; and the Asia Pacific region. He will report to Jean-Marie Greindl, PPG senior vice president, global architectural coatings, and president, PPG EMEA. Additionally, Wetzel will continue retain his responsibilities as chief marketing officer in the U.S. and Canada for all sales channels and as general manager for the home centers channel (including The Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards and Walmart accounts).
