Cancer Center pledges $850K to Esperanza

Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Eastern Regional Medical Center, in Philadelphia, will contribute $850,000 over 10 years to the faith-based nonprofit Esperanza, the groups announced.

The grant will support revitalization of neighborhood business corridors on Fifth Street in Hunting Park and Wyoming Avenue in Feltonville.

Improvements include new lighting, street furniture, and plantings. The grant project also will fund a corridor cleaning attendant, increased publication of local business directories, and the placement of new banners along the street, Esperanza said. - Reid Kanaley
