On the Boards

Act II Playhouse, a 130-seat professional theatre in Ambler, named Elaine Francis to its board. She is senior vice president at PNC Bank.

William H. Tobolsky, founder and principal of Tobolsky Law in Cherry Hill, was named president-elect of the Cherry Hill Rotary.

The National Adoption Center, a Philadelphia-based human services organization, elected the following people to its board: Angela D. Giampolo, an attorney and founder of the Giampolo Law Group; Andrew Wiest, a director at Elko & Associates, an accounting and business-consulting firm; and Kurt Wulfekuler, a principal at KPMG.

The Police Athletic League of Philadelphia elected Jeffrey B. Hendrey, Philadelphia pharmaceuticals and life sciences leader at PwC, chair of the board. Bernie Prazenica, president and general manager of WPVI-TV, 6abc, was elected treasurer. Joseph Carlini, CEO of McKean Defense Group L.L.C. and Brian Monihan, president of Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, were named board members.

The Police Athletic League Scholarship Foundation named the following board members: Michael Innocenzo, senior vice present and chief operating officer at Peco Energy; B. John Lindeman, managing director of investment banking at Janney Montgomery Scott L.L.C., and Robert Mindick, vice president, middle market lending at TD Bank.

Jeffrey B. Hendrey, Philadelphia pharmaceuticals and life sciences leader at PwC, was named president, and Bernie Prazenica, president and general manager WPVI-TV, 6abc, was elected treasurer of the Foundation.

Estelle Richman, former secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare and former senior advisor to the secretary for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, joined the board of Preservation of Affordable Housing, a nonprofit developer of affordable housing. Most recently, Richman served as Philadelphia Housing Authority Board chair.

Roger N. Huggins, partner and chair of the Business and Real Estate Group at West Chester law firm Gawthrop Greenwood P.C., has been elected chairman of the board of the Chester County Economic Development Council and its affiliates, the South Eastern Economic Development Company and the Chester County Economic Development Foundation.

Elizabeth Fenton of the Philadelphia law firm Chamberlain Hrdlicka was reappointed the co-chair of the Business Litigation and Competition Law Committee for the American Bar Association Section of Litigation.

Dan Clifford, managing partner of Weber Gallagher's Norristown office and member of the firm's Family Law practice group, was elected chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Family Law Section, a 1,300-member, statewide group.

JEVS Human Services, a nonprofit organization, appointed John P. Polidori, Kenneth L. Klothen, Bob Levine, and Howard Cutler to its board. Polidori is a senior vice president and managing director in Bernstein Global Wealth Management's Philadelphia office. Klothen is a lawyer and a bioethicist currently engaged in a consulting practice. Levine is founder of L2 Capital and co-founder of Milestone Partners.

Philadelphia labor and employment law firm Willig, Williams & Davidson said that partner Stuart W. Davidson has been elected a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.    

The Intercollegiate Studies Institute, a Wilmington-based think tank, named Pierre S. du Pont IV to its board. He is the former governor of Delaware, state legislator and member of Congress.

The Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation named Robert Adelson to its board. He is managing partner of Osage Partners, a venture capital investment firm.

Katelyn Murray joined the board of directors for the Sexuality and Aging Consortium at Widener University. Murray, a dual-degree student at Widener, working toward master's degrees in both social work and human sexuality, will serve the board as the student member.

Benjamin Gerson was appointed to the National Sleep Foundation's board of directors and will serve on the development committee as well as chair the 2014 conference. Gerson is CEO of University Services, a multi-specialty medical services company operating sleep centers in the Philadelphia area.

The Forum of Executive Women, a Fort Washington women's leadership organization, has named Nila Betof president. She is chief operating officer of the Leader's Edge/Leaders By Design.

The following were elected officers of the board of the La Salle University Alumni Association:

Beth Harper Briglia, vice president of donor services and grant making at the Chester County Community Foundation, is president.

AmyLynn Flood, partner, human resource services at PWC, is vice president.

Jerry S. Lezynski, managing director, marketing and communications at SEI Advisor Network, SEI Investments, is secretary.

Edward M. Waddington, managing director at Smart Devine, is treasurer.
