Constitution Center names new president

The National Constitutional Center has a new president and chief executive officer.

The board of trustees announced today that David Eisner would take over leadership of the Philadelphia-based museum and educational center. He starts on Nov. 30.

Eisner is the former CEO of the Corporation for National and Community Service, the federal agency overseeing national service programs including AmeriCorps.

Previously, he was a senior executive at AOL-Time Warner.

Eisner replaces Linda Johnson, who had served as acting president and CEO since January. Johnson stepped in after CEO Joseph Torsella left to pursue other interests.
