MEDecision names new CEO

Wayne-based MEDecision Inc. has named Scott A. Storrer president and chief executive.

Storrer, 42, had been president and chief operating officer.

As CEO, he will replace company founder David St. Clair, who is scheduled to retire Dec. 31 after spending two decades with the company.

He is expected to remain on the board for the next year.

MEDecision Inc. was sold last year to Health Care Service Corp., a Chicago medical-plan operator, for $121 million, and is now a wholly-owned subsidiary.

"David St. Clair has set a very high standard for innovation across the health-care IT industry over the past two decades, especially with regard to electronic health records with timely, actionable information," Storrer said.    - Roslyn Rudolph
