Herley gets $2.3M contract for Navy assembles

Lancaster-based Herley Industries Inc. said today that its Herley CTI subsidiary in Whippany, N.J., has obtained a $2.3 million contract to make assemblies for Navy electronic attack aircraft.

Lancaster-based Herley Industries Inc. said today that its Herley CTI subsidiary in Whippany, N.J., has obtained a $2.3 million contract to make assemblies for Navy electronic attack aircraft.

Herley Industries, a manufacturer of microwave equipment, did not identify the defense contractor for which it will make the integrated microwave assemblies.

"This award is in addition to the $8.2 million award to Herley New England that was announced yesterday, for a combined award of $10.5 million to Herley for this customer and program," said Herley's chairman and CEO, Myron Levy.

Herley shares were priced at $7.85, up 17 cents (2.21 percent) in late-morning trading.
