Regional gasoline prices down a penny over the weekend

The average cost of a gallon of regular gasoline fell by a penny over the weekend in southeastern Pennsylvania and South Jersey, AAA Mid-Atlantic said this morning.

The Philadelphia average of $2.73 a gallon, and the South Jersey average of $2.50 a gallon are the same as a month ago, the auto club said.

Today's national average of $2.77 a gallon is six cents below the month-ago price, AAA said.
