Met-Pro awarded pollution-control contract in Puerto Rico

Met-Pro Corp. of Harleysville said today it won a $700,000 contract to install pollution-control equipment at a pharmaceutical plant in Puerto Rico.

Met-Pro Corp. of Harleysville said today it won a $700,000 contract to install pollution-control equipment at a pharmaceutical plant in Puerto Rico.

Met-Pro did not identify the buyer but said it is a pharmaceutical company based in New Jersey.

The equipment, scheduled to be shipped late this year, is a recuperative thermal oxidation system. It will control acetone emissions and will use heat recovery to minimize fuel consumption.

Met-Pro manufactures product-recovery and pollution-control equipment for purification of air and liquids and fluid-handling equipment for corrosive, abrasive and high temperature liquids.

It shares were down 1 cent this morning at $15.60 on the New York Stock Exchange.
