Saul Ewing recruitment lawyers get recruited

Aah, but did they sign a non-compete?

Aah, but did they sign a non-compete?

An Atlanta-based law firm has lured away three law partners who specialize in employee raiding and non-compete agreements. They were formerly partners at Saul Ewing LLP, in Philadelphia.

Christopher Stief will be managing partner of the Philadelphia office of Fisher & Phillips LLP, which has 190 lawyers in 18 cities. Joining Stief are former Saul Ewing partners David W. Erb and Michael R. Greco, as well as three other Saul lawyers, Susan M. Guerette and Risa B. Boerner - both of counsel - and Heather Zalar Steele, an associate.

Stief, Erb and Greco have a national practice focusing on litigation of recruitment issues including employee defections, trade secrets, non-solicitation and non-disclosure agreements, unfair competition, and computer fraud. Fisher & Phillips exclusively represents management in its labor and employment practice.

Stief and Greco represented WMMR radio personalities Preston Elliot and Steve Morrison and Greater Media, owners of WMMR-FM (93.3) when they wanted to be released from the non-compete agreement they had signed with Radio One Inc. which operated Y100. The duo moved to WMMR after Radio One pulled them off the air and substituted a hip-hop format on the 100.3 dial spot.
