Report: Phila Council members serve longer than in other cities

Philadelphia's City Council members on average have held office longer than any of their counterparts in 14 other large cities across the country, according to a new report by Pew Charitable Trusts.

Philadelphia's City Council members on average have held office longer than any of their counterparts in 14 other large cities across the country, according to a new report by Pew Charitable Trusts.

Philadelphia's Council also spends more on salaries, benefits and other costs than most of the other cities, Pew said.
