The Department of Transportation just released details of proposed rules that would tell regulators, and the flying public, more about airline revenue from fees, and would make advances in several other areas of consumer protection. Here is a DOT news release with the basics, including how to read about and comment on the proposal.

    Now, they are doing this...Where were they over the past years when the "ala-carte" fares were starting? the DOT is a day late and a dollar short..Are they blindfolded?
