2d petitioner asks judge to reopen Barnes case

A second petitioner has asked a judge to reopen a contentious case involving the relocation of a multibillion-dollar art collection to Philadelphia.

A second petitioner has asked a judge to reopen a contentious case involving the relocation of a multibillion-dollar art collection to Philadelphia.

But Judge Stanley Ott made no decisions on Tuesday during a hearing in Montgomery County Orphans Court.

Ott convened the hearing to discuss scheduling issues for the first petition filed in February by a group that wants the Barnes Foundation to stay in suburban Lower Merion.

The group says Ott didn't have all the evidence when he approved the art collection's move in 2004.

Ott said Tuesday that central Pennsylvania lawyer Richard Feudale also wants the case reopened.

Lawyers for both sides were given time to examine Feudale's petition. Feudale did not attend the hearing and did not immediately return a request for comment.
