Benjamin Franklin Bridge walkway hours reduced
The pedestrian walkway over the Benjamin Franklin Bridge is about to shift to its fall-winter schedule.
Beginning on Wednesday, the south walkway will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to the Delaware River Port Authority.
That means the walkway will stop being accessible to runners, walkers and cyclists an hour earlier than its 9 p.m. summer closing.
The pedestrian walkway on the south side of the bridge is open seven days a week, weather permitting. The north walkway is closed due to construction work.
