Philadelphia International Airport has four remaining flights scheduled to Fort Lauderdale today, and so far none are canceled or delayed "that we are aware of," said airport spokeswoman Mary Flannery. Two were American Airlines flights, one is a Spirit Airlines flight, and one a JetBlue Airways flight, Flannery said.

The FAA said, "as of 2:15 p.m., airborne flights that are within about 50 miles of FLL will be landing at the airport. Other airborne flights that are headed to FLL will be delayed, or diverted to other airports. Flights destined for FLL that haven't departed will be held on the ground at the origination airport. Travelers headed to FLL should check with their air carriers," said FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen.

The FAA, on its website, said a "ground stop" was in effect until 3 p.m. at Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport.
