The Committee of Seventy, the Philadelphia nonpartisan government-watchdog group, has elected the following board members: John G. Chou, executive vice president and general counsel, AmerisourceBergen Corp.; Lisa Detwiler, senior vice president and general counsel, FS Investment Solutions LLC; Anne Marie Hughes, senior vice president, global banking market director, Wells Fargo; Judith Mondre, CEO of Mondre Energy; Courtney Gilligan Saleski, partner, DLA Piper. Elected emeritus directors were Graham Humes, a retired investment banker who first joined the Committee of Seventy board in 1961, and Edward "Ned" Dunham, of counsel at Kleinbard LLC.

Ross Weiss, a member of Cozen O'Connor's real estate practice group, has been appointed to the board of the Philadelphia Film Society.

Howard D. Scher has been named president of the  board of the Pennsylvania Innocence Project. He is a shareholder with Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, Philadelphia.

Stephanie Stecklair, an associate at Berner Klaw & Watson LLP, has been elected to the Philadelphia Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division Executive Committee.

James Wang has been appointed the Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. He is president and CEO of Asian Bank, Philadelphia. The 12-member council is composed of representatives from commercial banks, thrift institutions, and credit unions.

Daniel J. Hilferty has been elected to a second term as chairman of the board of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association. He is president and chief executive officer of Independence Blue Cross. The association, comprising 36 independent, community-based, and locally operated Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies, covers more than 106 million members - nearly one in three Americans.

Community Design Collaborative, has named the following board directors: Modesto Bigas-Valedon, senior associate for WRT; Rose Gray, senior vice president of community and economic development for APM for Everyone; Robert Leonard, shareholder and intellectual property lawyer for Volpe & Koenig P.C.; Charles Moleski, principal for Becker & Frondorf; Maria Sourbeer, vice president of development for Shift Capital; and Julie Wiley, project manager for CVM. Daryn Edwards, director of design for CICADA Architecture/Planning Inc., and Richard Winston, principal of BWA architecture + planning, will serve as cochairs of the board.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia named the following to its Economic and Community Advisory Council: Terri Kelly, president and CEO of W. L. Gore & Associates Inc.; Sharmain Matlock-Turner, president and CEO of the Urban Affairs Coalition; and Donald F. Schwarz, vice president, for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

Montgomery County attorney Gail P. Granoff has been elected president of the board of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, Mechanicsburg. Montgomery County Court Judge Daniel J. Clifford of Norristown has been elected to the board.

David W. Watson, vice president of engineering at Campbell Soup Co., Camden, has joined the board of trustees of Williamson College of the Trades.

Andrew Quinn has been appointed to the board of Interstate Land Management Corp., a nonprofit joint venture between Philadelphia and Pennsylvania that manages land under and beside the I-95 corridor between the Walt Whitman and Benjamin Franklin Bridges. Quinn is a marine structural engineer and serves as the deputy practice leader for the ports and waterways group at Urban Engineers, Philadelphia.

Edna G. Kynett Memorial Foundation Inc., which funds programs focusing on the prevention and cure of cardiovascular disease, has elected the following trustees to its board: Victoria Weill, nurse practitioner at the Abington-Jefferson Health Children's clinic and associate program director of the pediatric nurse practitioner program at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing; Nazanin Moghbeli, associate director of the women's cardiovascular program and clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Medicine; and Daniel Edmundowicz, chief, section of cardiology, and vice chair of program development at Temple University's Lewis Katz School of Medicine.

The Eastern Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce has named the following board members: John Dean, vice president, commercial lending, at Ambler Savings Bank; W. Gareth Horan, vice president, commercial lending, BB&T Bank; Chuck Marsh, director of university relations, Penn State Abington; and Tara Wehmeyer, assistant township manager, Abington Township.
