Martin J. Edelman, an expert in the research and treatment of lung cancer, has joined Fox Chase Cancer Center as chair of the department of hematology/oncology. He comes to Fox Chase from the University of Maryland Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center, where he served as the head of the section of solid-tumor oncology and associate director of the division of hematology/oncology, and as professor of medicine and radiation oncology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

A board-certified neurologist, Fredane will serve as the therapeutic area leader for neurology. Lisa Bonnell has been promoted to senior vice president and general auditor at Comcast Corp., Philadelphia. She had been a senior member of the company's audit team and previously served as senior vice president of operations for Comcast Business.

The Philadelphia intellectual-property law firm Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel has hired IP attorney Jibo Wu as an associate. He had been a patent attorney with Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP in Washington.

The Center City branding and technology agency Eastern Standard has named operations director Vince Giordano partner. He had been business development manager at Context in Jenkintown.
