Studio Incamminati, School for Contemporary Realist Art, a nonprofit educational institution, has named the following board officers: William Daniels, managing director at Ariane Capital Partners LLC, chairman; Salvatore Patti, senior vice president and group leader for the Philadelphia/Southern New Jersey Commercial Banking Group of PNC, vice chairman; Alvin Holm, an architect, secretary; and Louis Scaglione, president and music director of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, treasurer. Steven A. Bennett, a retired executive vice president, chief legal officer, and corporate secretary of USAA, was named a board member.

The Rodale Institute, Kutztown, a nonprofit organic-agriculture research organization, has elected to its board Kimberly A. Spotts-Kimmel and Jeff Tkach. Spotts-Kimmel is a partner with Gross McGinley LLP, and Tkach is managing director and vice president for Rodale's Organic Life and Prevention publications.

Burlington Stores Inc., a Burlington Township-based off-price retailer of branded apparel, has elected Ted English to its board. He is a former president, CEO, and director of TJX Cos. Inc. He currently serves as executive chairman of Bob's Discount Furniture Inc.

Durand Inc., a Marlton provider of learning opportunities to individuals with pervasive developmental disorders such as autism and several other developmental and learning disabilities, has named Danielle Chase to its board. She is a licensed clinical psychologist who earned her doctorate from Drexel University and is currently practicing pediatric neuropsychology in Haddonfield.

June Essis has been elected national director of DRI-The Voice of the Defense Bar, a nonprofit association that advocates for 22,000 defense attorneys, commercial trial attorneys, and corporate counsel, and works to defend the integrity of the civil judiciary. Essis is a partner with Fineman Krekstein & Harris PC in Philadelphia.

Richard Ehst, president and chief operating officer of Customers Bank, Wyomissing, has been appointed to the board of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, the state's largest business association. Ehst's addition to the board is the result of a recently finalized agreement to combine PA Chamber operations with the Pennsylvania Business Council. Ehst was a member of the PBC board of directors and served as chair of the PBC Education Foundation and the Business and Education Partnership. He serves on the board of trustees at Albright College and the Reading Health System Foundation.

The Academy of Rail Labor Attorneys has elected William L. Myers Jr. to its board of managers. ARLA is a professional association of attorneys representing injured railroad workers and their families. Myers is founding partner of Myers Lafferty Law Offices PC.

Roger LaMay, general manager of WXPN, Philadelphia, has been reelected board chairman of National Public Radio.

PHL Diversity, a business division of the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau, has elected the following board members: Patricia Wilson Aden, president and CEO of the African American Museum in Philadelphia; Randy Brown, executive vice president of Gamble Global Entertainment Group; Anthony Geistwite, director of sales and marketing at Sofitel Philadelphia; Jamila Johnson, a reporter with Al Dia News; Jennifer Kerstetter, business development officer/store manager with Republic Bank; Jayne Keyser, owner of Bustard Advertising; Corvette Kittrell, associate director, hotel, restaurant, travel, and tourism at Philadelphia Academies Inc.; Kelly Lee, chief cultural officer for the City of Philadelphia; Andrew Lovell, associate director of industry relations, Temple University School of Sport, Tourism & Hospitality Management; Leslie Patterson-Tyler, director of media relations and communications for the Kimmel Center Inc.; and Elvin Ross, founding member of Legis Group LLC.

Armstrong Flooring, Inc., Lancaster, has appointed Michael W. Malone to its board of directors and as a member of its Audit Committee. Malone served more than 30 years with Polaris Industries Inc. most recently as vice president, finance and chief financial officer from Jan. 1997 through July 2015.

Strongbridge Biopharma, a global biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of novel therapies for rare diseases with offices in Trevose and Dublin, Ireland, , has named Jeffrey W. Sherman to its board. He is chief medical officer and executive vice president of research and development at Horizon Pharma plc. He previously held senior leadership positions at IDM Pharma, Takeda Global Research and Development, NeoPharm, Searle/Pharmacia, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and is a past president of the Drug Information Association.
