Exelon Corp., the Chicago energy firm that owns Peco Energy Co., has named Maggie FitzPatrick senior vice president of corporate affairs, philanthropy, and customer engagement. She had been global chief communication officer and vice president of public affairs at Johnson & Johnson. FitzPatrick will have oversight of communications, brand strategy, and customer engagement. She also will oversee the distribution of nearly $40 million in annual giving by Exelon.

Exelon Corp., the Chicago energy firm that owns Peco Energy Co., has named Maggie FitzPatrick senior vice president of corporate affairs, philanthropy, and customer engagement. She had been global chief communication officer and vice president of public affairs at Johnson & Johnson. FitzPatrick will have oversight of communications, brand strategy, and customer engagement. She also will oversee the distribution of nearly $40 million in annual giving by Exelon.

Danielle Block has been hired as director of health-care services at Melmark, a Berwyn nonprofit that provides a range of services for disabled adults and children. She had been nurse manager of two sites at MossRehab. Karen Parenti has been promoted to executive director, from senior director of adult services.

Radian Group Inc., a Philadelphia provider of private mortgage insurance, risk-management products, and real estate services to financial institutions, has hired Jeff Tennyson as president of Clayton Holdings L.L.C., Radian's principal mortgage and real estate services business. He had been interim president over the last several months and chief operating officer.

Bellevue Communications Group, Philadelphia, has hired Samantha Byles as account executive. She had been public-relations coordinator at employee-owned engineering firm Pennoni.

Concord Engineering, Voorhees, has hired Chris Krawice as a senior project manager in the Power Department. Krawice had been a project manager/technical professional leader for KBR in Newark, Del. Bill Gretta has been hired as senior vice president of the environment controls division. He had been vice president at Eneractive Solutions.

NMS Labs, Willow Grove, an independent provider of professional forensic and clinical laboratory services, has hired Marilyn Huestis as senior scientific adviser. Huestis is among the world's leading authorities on clinical and forensic aspects of illicit drug use. Over the last 25 years, she built a world-renowned clinical research and analytical toxicology center at the National Institute on Drug Abuse Intramural Research Program. She retired in January as chief of chemistry and drug metabolism for the program.

Cara Giquinto has joined New Day Underwriting Managers, Hamilton, as a senior account manager in the real estate group. She had been marketing manager at the Borden Perlman Agency.

Kathleen M. Youse has been named chair and program director in the department of speech-language pathology program at Salus University, Elkins Park. She had been director of the Edward D. Mysak Clinic for Communication Disorders at Teachers College, Columbia University.

Jamie Kendall, an attorney with Kendall Law Firm P.C. will serve as general counsel of the Philadelphia Drug Exchange, the nation's oldest active pharmaceutical trade association. Kendall is the managing attorney and principal of the Bryn Mawr-based law firm.

CSS Industries Inc., a Plymouth Meeting designer and maker of seasonal products such as decorative ribbons and Halloween masks, said David F. McHugh, vice president-finance, has become interim chief financial officer after the resignation of Vincent A. Paccapaniccia. The company is conducting a nationwide search for a new CFO. Prior to joining CSS, McHugh served for about 13 years as senior vice president and corporate controller of ICT Group Inc.

Casey Rock has been hired as events manager/social media marketer at Mid-Atlantic Events Magazine, a Huntingdon Valley trade publication. She had interned with the magazine, handling women's networking and industry association events.

James Regan has named chief marketing officer of MRP, a Philadelphia-based global provider of account-based marketing intelligence, software, and services. Regan, who cofounded MRP with chief executive officer Kevin Cunningham in 2002, also will continue as president of MRP's LATAM operations.

DDCWorks said public-relations account coordinator Steve McGlynn has moved from an assistant role to managing PR for the Rose Group/Applebee's, the Philly Home Show, the Philly Home + Garden show, and the social-media campaign for the Council for the Advancement of Public Schools. Allison Vetter has been hired as an account manager. She had been an account coordinator at Kobie Marketing.

KeyBank has announced who will head executive-leadership teams in eastern Pennsylvania after the merger of KeyCorp and First Niagara. The former First Niagara executives will assume the following positions with KeyBank:

former eastern Pennsylvania regional president, is market president and commercial banking leader; Joseph Tedesco, former retail banking director, senior vice president, is retail sales leader; Christophe Terlizzi, former senior vice president and regional manager commercial real estate finance, is real estate capital leader; Carol Alesi, former senior vice president and senior director of private client services, is private banking leader; Robert Celli, senior vice president and regional sales manager, is Key Investment Services sales manager; Denise Povolny, former senior vice president and business banking sales leader, is business banking leader; Anne Fearnside, former area manager, is area retail leader-Valley Forge, KeyBank; Tamera Hrynkow, former area manager, is area retail leader-Chesmont, KeyBank; Maureen Neyhart, former first vice president and area manager, is area retail leader-Cross County, KeyBank; and David Kennedy, former first vice president and regional sales manager for residential lending, is mortgage sales leader.

Vein Clinics of America, Downers Grove, Ill., has hired Robert S. Singh as a physician in its Philadelphia clinic. Singh had been medical director at the vein center of St. Joseph Medical Center and is the owner of Berks Vascular Institute in Reading.
